Joseph & Janet Nanouh made it here all the way from the small country of Syria in the late 1970's. They had dreams of making it big on their own. However, they soon came to realize that there is no stronger bond than family. So in the late 1990s, the whole family came together to produce Exeter Family Restaurant. The family mission was to ensure that their guests felt like part of the family, by providing them with great food, friendly service, in a clean, comfortable, and fun atmosphere. Exeter Family Restaurant is not a chain restaurant - we are a privately owned, independently operated local family restaurant that strives to provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner at an affordable price.
Over the years, customers have seen the family grow up. Regardless of whether during finals in grad school, late weekend nights or overdue vacations, each child still put in their time as a waiter, cook or cashier. Neither blizzards nor sick days kept Joseph or Janet away. Dedication is not necessitated merely for the sake of running the family business, it is the very underpinning of the dream only possible with the multi-facets offered by each of the family.
Today, the traditions and values continue with the NEW Exeter Family Restaurant with their son Michael and son-in-law Eddie heading the restaurant operations. Eddie and Michael want to take this hometown restaurant featuring original cuisine and infuse it with contemporary style. Thus was born the NEW Exeter Family Restaurant, a place where you can enjoy flavors from around the globe as well as local favorites, hang with friends and relax with your family and ours.
